“Solid dinner at ViaVia. I had the Chicken Lemon Taijine and it was very good. We had the Briwat as an appitizer and it was solid jet a little bit greasy. Nice rooftop bar with nice service. The food was good but the star of the evening was their Virgin Punch.”
“Friendly staff and good atmosphere, however I found the menu somewhat lacking. The tagine was the best dish, very flavoursome - the rest a bit uninspiring for a special set menu. This booking was for New Year’s Eve - picked because of the competitive price point compared to many other places in Marrakech.”
“We chose ViaVia Marrakech for New Year’s Eve expecting a festive night with good Moroccan food and proper entertainment, but the entire evening fell far below what was promised. The New Year’s Eve menu was served cold, not freshly made, and lacked any authentic Moroccan flavors. The dishes felt rushed, low‑quality, and poorly prepared. Later that same night, we ended up throwing up all the food and experienced clear signs of food poisoning. When we mentioned the bad food to the waiter, he simply said they “didn’t anticipate so many people” and that they “tried their best.” For a restaurant promoting Moroccan cuisine and charging for a special event, this was unacceptable. Even the basics were mishandled. For dessert, we were given one small fork and five large forks, the same type used for the main dish. We also received mismatched plates. When we asked the waiter for proper cutlery and plates, he told us they had run out, which is shocking for a pre‑planned New Year’s event. The entertainment was equally disappointing. They advertised a band and a room to dance, but the band only started around 10:30 PM and left by 11:30 PM. After midnight, there was no entertainment at all, no music, no atmosphere, nothing resembling the celebration they promoted. The place became quiet immediately after the countdown. Overall, this was not what we paid for and what was advertised. Between the cold, non‑fresh food, the food poisoning, the lack of basic cutlery, and the absence of promised entertainment, this New Year’s Eve was a complete letdown. I cannot recommend Viavia Marrakech based on this experience!”
“This was an excellent restaurant with a pretty rooftop area. Despite it being very highly rated already, when we were there it was somewhat empty so we could eat comfortably. The food was just as amazing as it looks and the staff was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. It was overall an amazing place and would highly recommend!”
“We had dinner in the restaurant as it was a chilly and rainy day but the atmosphere was amazing. There was live music that was super nice and fun. We had the burger that was very tasty, the pasta pesto that we think missed flavour, the guacamole as beautifully presented, well served but had too much onion. Still, it was tasty. The yellow curry was also nice but it had a strong curry tasty. If u know, u know. Overall, a nice place to have drinks, lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere and nice rooftop.”
