“We absolutely loved our stay at Dar Bergui! If you’re staying in Ouarzazate, I cannot recommend this place more. The host is friendly, available and kind. He welcomed us with Moroccan tea which he was so kind to bring to our room while we had time to rest and wind down after a long day. Breakfast was also impeccable, plenty of local dishes, tea, orange juice and homemade yogurt. It kept us full for the whole day. The rooms are spacious, very well decorated and with all the amenities one could need. The Riad has a large swimming pool, which unfortunately we didn’t use as it was December; there is also a nice terrace overseeing the city which I’m sure is great to enjoy in summer.”

“The breakfast and dinner are outstanding, as is the chef. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed for five nights at the beginning of January and the large reception area and dining room were occasionally heated by a two bar calor gas heater which was only lit 15 minutes prior to meal time. We were constantly cold and had to use the wi fi in reception because the reception in our terrace room was weak to the point of being useless. Penny pinching on providing the guests with heating was painful to have to endure. Whoever owns the Riad was never in attendance, and the two staff members preparing the meals left immediately after dinner service had been completed. Too cold. Too impersonal and the wi fi was a shambled. Nice location. Nice staff members. Great food.”

“We felt so well looked after and relaxed when we stayed here for 4 nights. As it's only got 6 rooms, you feel like you have the place to yourself at times, like when we went swimming and were the only ones in the pool! The breakfast is delicious and the dinner that they serve - a 3 course meal - is out of this world. ||What stood out to us was how kind, friendly and caring the staff were, particularly the main lady who would be on reception. She was always smiling and asking about what we've been up to, and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as ever.”

“Little gem in Ouarzazate. The Riad is beautiful, rooms are quite big and nicely decorated. The pool area is very nice (we did not enjoy it as it was December). There is also a very nice view of the mountains nearby. Lots of parking available next to the property, monitored by cameras. Breakfast was rich and tasty and the owner/manager is very nice and welcoming. Definitely recommended, great value for money.”

“Lovely old riad well restored, charming atmosphere. The pool and surrounding area are beautiful (though we couldn't take advantage of it as far too cold in December). Staff very nice and the breakfast was good. The location is high up in a tranquil part of town but a short walk down to the main square which is the heart of the town with restaurants and shops. We also walked to the kasbah and back quite easily.”
