“I stayed at Taj Fes as part of a trip organised by Click Excursion, and overall had a mixed experience. The room was slightly outdated, and unfortunately the shower was blocked, which took some time to clear. The food was fairly average and didn’t particularly stand out. On the positive side, the room had good air conditioning and nice ventilation, which made it comfortable. What really stood out, however, was a staff member who was extremely kind and helpful—his friendliness made a real difference to the stay. Overall, while there are a few areas that could be improved, the helpful service and basic comforts made the experience decent.”
“SCAM - DO NOT BOOK we have been there yesterday (2 rooms for 6 people). We messaged them 2 hours before telling them about our arrival time and if there were any issues. They did not reply. Once we arrived they said there was a water issue in the whole building, and that at the same price they would have moved us to another Riad. I asked them to show me some pictures of the other Riad. The receptionist started an animated discussion with another person in arabic. We started searching for a new accomodation of our own while they continued screaming at each other. We left, telling them it would have been nice of them to let us know about the issue. Fun fact, 10 minutes later i got a message on booking.com in reply to my previous message saying simply "Oky". They are clearly scammers, do not go.”
“I’m an experienced traveler and I’ve stayed in many countries all over the world. I’m very patient, laid back and I have low standards. This place was the first time EVER, in over a decade of traveling, that I have been unsatisfied. As you will see in reviews here and in google, they frequently overbook the property and try to take you to another room. It took me 3 hours to check in because they were dealing with another overbooked customer, who eventually had to leave with her 2 kids. She seemed very distressed, poor woman. Anytime I calmly asked when I could check in “sit down sit down, don’t talk to anyone please” Finally I checked in at 10pm. I paid for a big king bed room and they showed me to a small room with a couple tiny beds for a child. When I told him what I booked, he tried to befriend me, make jokes and play me up. He said he would transfer me to the correct room the 2nd night and refund me 100dirhim for the difference. The 2nd night they transferred me to another incorrect room and then ignored all my contact and wouldn’t give me any of the compensation they said. It is a shame as this place could be such a nice hotel. It may be 50/50 that you get what you paid for and have a good experience. The staff are rude, disrespectful, lazy and chronic liars. Every word they told me was a lie to just keep me quiet. Every time I tried to calmly speak to Toufik, he would barely look up from his phone just give the not my problem attitude. Also the bathrooms are disgusting and smelly. Shower water will go everywhere. Pros: The wifi was very good, beautiful lobby. They clearly have satisfied customers, however you need to understand it’s a bit of a lottery as there are many of us who were scammed. (Look through the reviews and mentally prepare)”
“Avoid booking with them. As many other reviewers have mentioned, once you arrive they’ll come up with some excuse for why your room isn’t available (overbooking, broken bed, plumbing issues, etc.). Then they pressure you to cancel your reservation and redirect you to a lower-quality riad, where they insist on cash payment. It’s best to steer clear of this dishonest practice.”
“This is a big Scam. You book and when you arrive there is no room available and they ask you to follow them into another airbnb appartment they organise. We reach there and 3 other people went through the same experience. SCAM!”
