“I had the chance to spend a three nights at this old place hotel. Great location since you are just a few steps from the Old Medina of Fes. The rooftop of the restaurant has a a Spectacular view of the city so don’t miss it. We tried the set menu dinner and it was really delicious and rich with authentic moroccan flavors. The suite was well prepared for us when we arrived with complementary fruits and Moroccan desserts. Mr. Yousef from the reception did a great job and made our stay so comfortable and unforgettable. I must mention that there was a little bit of smell of sewage at our suite and this seriously should be solved.”
“Me and my wife had dinner at the restaurant of this establishment. The interior design, the location and the beautiful rooftop view are definitely impressive. However, the overall dining experience did not match the high pricing of 350 MAD per menu, excluding drinks. The starter was acceptable. My wife ordered the Chicken Lemon Tagine and I chose the couscous with meat. Her dish was fine and mine was satisfactory, but nothing that justified the premium price. The dessert consisted only of sliced orange, apple, banana and kiwi, which felt very basic for this category of restaurant. I ordered a mint tea that was unfortunately undrinkable. They replaced it, but the second one was served without sugar, which I never received afterward. The service was also quite chaotic, with the staff laughing it off instead of addressing the issues properly. Overall, the experience was disappointing and certainly not recommendable.”
“My wife and I spent two truly memorable nights here celebrating our anniversary. Palais de Fes is nothing short of a work of art—every handcrafted detail is stunning and reflects the incredible craftsmanship that Fes is so well known for. Out of all meals we had during our 10-day trip across Morocco, the food here was simply unmatched. We enjoyed the chicken lemon tajine, lamb with prunes tajine, seafood pastilla, and the traditional pastilla—each dish was absolutely exceptional. Hayat’s warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special; she is truly a gem. Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, the restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The live oud music from 9pm adds such a beautiful atmosphere. We also treated ourselves to the spa twice during our stay, enjoying a Moroccan hammam and a massage. The hammam is elegant and relaxing, and the masseuse was incredibly skilled. One of the highlights of our visit was meeting the owner and hearing about the family’s story and the evolution of the hotel. It was both inspiring and heartwarming to learn how the daughter and son are continuing their father’s legacy. A special thank you to Youssef for his attentiveness and hospitality both before and during our stay—he made everything seamless. And finally, a sincere thank you Ghita for making our visit so special and unforgettable. If you’re visiting Fes and looking for a truly memorable and royal experience, this is the place to be.”
“I decided to make a trip to Fez with my friends, and we all decided to stay at a very intagramable Palais. We all got nice rooms, specially mine which was an upgrade. However, the safe box was not working and needed to call front desk all the time to get the safe open. In addition, the front door was not closing due to a misalignment with the door lock and when needed to leave my room, I had to leave my room open waiting for someone to fix the room. Honestly speaking the most disrespected I felt, was when calling front desk several times for at least 3 hours and no one will answer me. Just to find out when I went out of my room and went downstairs, that the personnel was in the lobby. Definitely not impressed for the quality of the hotel. Another disappointment was the breakfast, the property is amazing but the food was so simple when compared to any other restaurant in Fez”
“Our highlight at Fes was this beautiful Riad. Like the name suggests, it’s a true palace! The staff (Bushra, Geeta, Mohammed, Youssef to name a few) were all very kind and accommodating. The hotel is stunning with views of the Medina and a full spa set-up. Be patient as wait times can be slightly long and communicate with the staff. Overall 9.5/10”
