“I stayed at Palais Medina Hotel in room 210 during a business trip to Fez, and I had an excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The room was comfortable and equipped with excellent air conditioning, which was especially appreciated during the hot summer weather. I would also like to praise the reception team. The welcome was outstanding, and in my opinion, it is one of the best hotel receptions I have experienced in Fez. The staff were friendly, attentive, and highly professional. A special thank you to the restaurant team for their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional service. The food was delicious, and I truly enjoyed every meal during my stay. Thank you for your care, kindness, and warm hospitality. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fez, whether for business or leisure.”
“Palais Medina Hotel is advertised as a five-star property, but unfortunately, my experience did not reflect that standard. The service was very poor, especially during breakfast. The breakfast selection was limited, there were not enough servers, and the coffee machines were not working properly, which created unnecessary frustration in the morning. My biggest disappointment was the condition of the rooms. They felt old, tired, and very much in need of renovation. The hotel clearly needs a serious refurbishment to meet the expectations of a five-star property. I will say that the windows in the rooms seemed newer and did a good job isolating outside noise, which was appreciated. However, that was one of the few positives. The common areas were also poorly maintained and did not feel elegant or well cared for. Overall, this hotel did not match the quality, comfort, or service level I expected from a five-star hotel. I would not recommend it unless significant improvements are made.”
“· After unpacking, showering, and getting dressed for bed, in room #407,I called the front desk to request assistance with a malfunctioning thermostat and was informed that the thermometer did not work and that I would have to repack my suitcase, get dress and move to another room at 10 pm at night. To compensate me for this inconvenience, the staff told me that they were upgrading me. I told them that I did not understand why they had placed a hotel guest in a room when they were aware that the thermostat was not functioning.| · They moved me to room 244 at Hôtel Palais Médina & SPA. Upon entering the room, I noted an odor and observed mold and mildew on the shower walls. The front desk sent up a maintenance man, who began cleaning the shower wall at 10:30 at night.|· |· On November 5 at 9:30 am, I began feeling nauseated and called the hotel manager. He entered my room with his maintenance staff around 10 am and met me in the bathroom, you found me severely ill, asked how you might help and I asked you to call the American Consulate. Once I began vomiting and became incapacitated, experiencing intense repetitions of nausea and diarrhea, I could not leave the bathroom and used the phone in the toilet to call the front desk and asked to speak with the Manager regarding contacting the American Consulate for medical care. |· |· When I partial recovery, I went the front desk to report the incident and asked that the chef be informed of the food-related illness. I then sought treatment from a local medical herbologist. Upon returning to the hotel, I again attempted to speak with the manger and was told that he would contact me. I never heard back.|· |·Food poisoning of a 76-year-old is not a minor matter. This incident not only compromised my health but also forced me to cancel planned tours in Fes and Casablanca and cut short my trip to return to the United States. |The booking was made through Hotels.com, which ranks this hotel as 5-star. | | Hôtel Palais Médina & SPA is certified by Intertek Cristal, a respected body and I hope that no other guest has the experience I had at Acollection Hotels. TripAdvisor, Hotels.com; | |Further, I do hope that the manger notified the restaurant chef about the shrimp, the housekeeping about the mold on the shower walls and your management about my experience. I trust that Atlas Hospitality values the well-being of its guests and will take appropriate steps to address this issue.
“Good location - clean rooms - average breakfast. Has parking. Courteous - serious staff. Nice swimming pool. A bit expensive compared to other hotels. Clean but old hotel. Worth of money (5/10)”
“The location is great, ample parking within the hotel vicinity. Balcony and the view of the pool and old city was amazing, that's why I would give 5 star to the location. But service wise, not more than 2 stars. We stayed for 3 nights, apart from the first night, they did not provide water, there was only 1 cup at the tea corner, which was also chipped. Even though we requested for that to replace and give us another one as well because we were 2 but nothing. Also the bathroom door had such a horrible squeaky sound. The carpet in the corridor and in the room had a very unpleasant odor. Kindly work on the service because this location can bring you more visitors.”
“An outstanding experience at Palais Medina Resort. The service was impeccable, and the breakfast was exceptional: fresh, refined, and truly delicious. Special thanks to Hasna cashier at reception for her kindness and professionalism, and to Mohamed in the kitchen for his excellent work. A flawless stay, 100% highly recommend.”
