“I recently had the pleasure of my parents staying at Riad Zina Fes, Elegance in the Heart of Fes, for three days, and I cannot express how grateful I am for the incredible experience they had. From the moment they arrived, they were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made their stay truly unforgettable. Mohamed, the owner of the Riad, was absolutely fantastic! His attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my parents felt comfortable and cared for were remarkable. He provided invaluable support, arranging transportation, and even helping them navigate the vibrant streets of Fes. It was clear that he genuinely cares about his guests and their experience. The Riad itself is a beautiful oasis, blending traditional Moroccan architecture and very clean. The exceptional hospitality extended by Mohamed and his team truly sets Riad Fes apart. My parents felt like they were part of a family rather than just guests. They were treated with kindness and respect, which made their stay even more special. I wholeheartedly recommend Riad Zina Fes to anyone looking for a memorable stay in this beautiful city. Thank you, Mohamed, for your outstanding support and care. You made my parents' trip a wonderful experience, and we are all incredibly appreciative!”
“A horror show . The bathroom had a strong smell of sewage that just wouldn't go away. Bed sheets were thread are, the blanket old and probably not washed in ages. The electric heater was at least 40 years old and scary. Not friendly staff. We booked for 5 nights, left after one breakfast that was advertised for 8:30, we were told would be delayed to 930, at 930 they told us to come back in an hour. Stay away!! The manager promised that he would refund the 4 nights we did not stay because of the strong sewage smell, they have not honored this. We booked through Agoda, who tells us that the hotel is not responding to their messages. Where is my refund? Is this hotel run by thieves? STAY AWAY!!!!”
“Road Zina Fes is a gem in the heart of the historic Alqarawiyeen area. The location is incredible—just a short walk from the famous mosque and university, as well as the silversmith workshops. The nearest gate, Rcif, provides easy access to ATMs and taxis. The hospitality here is unmatched. The manager, Othman, went above and beyond, arranging a late-night Hammam experience (starting at 21:30), which was unforgettable. He also provided valuable insights about Moulay Ya'qub's hot water baths and massage, which was another highlight of my trip. He always gave me info about the prices paid by locals. Mohamed was incredibly kind and generous with his time, taking me to interesting places and even helping me repair a vintage leather bag and shop for unique items. Omar was also very helpful, and I enjoyed our conversations. But the soul of the place is Merzuqa, the housemaid. Her warmth, kindness, and attention to detail make the riad feel like home. The riad itself is a historic house filled with charm and memories. The bed was comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were impeccably clean. A mix of solo travelers and families stayed during my visit, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The rooftop offers breathtaking views of the city, making it a perfect spot to relax. I tried the Moroccan breakfast—fresh bread, jam, eggs, butter, orange juice, coffee, and tea— which was simple and ok. The chef asked repeatedly if I needed anything else. How to Find Road Zina Fes: When you come from Bab Rcif (Rcif Gate) and reach Place Seffarine, keep going until you see a fountain on your left. Pass under an arch and take the right alley into Sab' Lewyat Alley (Seven turnings). Give yourself to the terrain and expect to turn seven times before finally reaching the riad’s sign. At some points, you may wonder if there’s even a gateway—but just keep going, and you’ll find it! One thing to note is that along the way, you might see local children playing, and the friendly locals will always respond with a smile when greeted with Salaamu Alaikum. If you need help just ask (I usually give 10-20 Dirhams depending on the distance, some people might refuse payment) Overall, Road Zina Fes is a fantastic place to stay, blending history, comfort, and genuine Moroccan hospitality. Highly recommended!”
“I had a great time during my stay in Riad Zina and would definitely recommend it. It's a simple and typical place with really nice hosts and good food. If you have issues finding the exact location, you can contact the staff and someone will certainly help you through the alleys of the Medina.”
“Me and my friend stayed at the Riad for 5 nights. It was a pleasant experience, the beds and rooms were cleaned every day. We received a warm welcome from Hicham and the owner. They even helped us find good restaurant and (for me 😅) shaving materials!”
