“Our stay at Riad Hanael was a true highlight of our time in Fes. The riad offers a peaceful and beautiful respite from the energy and intensity of the medina. Located near the tanneries in the Andaluz area, it is both centrally situated and conveniently accessible, with nearby parking that makes arrival and luggage handling much easier than expected in Fes. The riad itself is a sanctuary. The central garden is lush with greenery and centered around a serene soaking pool, with soft music playing throughout the day that enhances the calm atmosphere. Our apartment was ideal for traveling as a family; it provided generous space, privacy for both us and our children, and a comfortable central area to gather together. One of the most special aspects of Riad Hanael is how it gently shifts your pace. The moment you step inside, everything slows down. We enjoyed lingering over Moroccan mint tea in the courtyard and sipping Fes-style coffee (rich with cinnamon and cardamom) on the rooftop terraces, which offer beautiful views over the city. We had dinner at the riad on our first night and were so glad we did. The meal was authentic, homemade, and deeply satisfying; an introduction to Moroccan cuisine that felt both personal and memorable. We also booked the hammam experience for the family, along with massages for a few of us, and it was truly exceptional. Friday afternoon turned out to be the perfect time to unwind this way. The staff were warm, attentive, and made the entire experience feel special and comfortable, even our teenage son appreciated this unique and relaxing ritual. Riad Hanael is more than a place to stay, it’s a place to reset. My advice to future guests: once you walk through the doors, allow yourself to slow down. You are on vacation, and this is a place best enjoyed at a gentle, unhurried pace.”

“I enjoyed a superb hammamm and massage. Beautiful setting. Beautiful spa area/massage room. I took my time and sat around the outdoor pool/garden beforehand and afterwards. I met the three tortoises, all wanting attention. Very cute. All staff members made me feel welcome. The restaurant looked stylish; small, wooden interior. Easy to find on Google maps, ring the bell on arrival. If you fancy a calm, beautiful place to sit, this is your place. Hammamm and massage optional, but highly recommended.
