“We had a wonderful stay at Dar Layali. Service: The host was extremely accommodating, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. From arranging transportation to providing local recommendations, every request was handled with genuine warmth and care. Location: The riad is ideally located just a 3-minute walk from the Medina gate. Unlike many places inside the Medina that require dragging luggage over long cobblestone paths, taxis can reach almost directly to the entrance, making arrival and departure very convenient. The area felt safe and comfortable, even in the evening. Room: The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. The authentic design added to the overall charm and cultural experience while still providing all the comforts we needed. Atmosphere & Experience: The riad offers a peaceful and authentic Moroccan ambiance, we especially appreciated the attention to detail and the warm hospitality that made us feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fes who wants a convenient location, authentic accommodation, and exceptional service.”
“That was our best accommodation in Morocco overall. Sayed was just a perfect host. His hospitality exceeds our perception of this word. The interior of this place is stunning. The rooms are comfortable and suitable for a large group. We were the family of three, and lived with comfort. The hotel is relatively easily accessible by car, it's just a couple of minutes of walk from the taxi stand. I'd say, it's relatively far from major attractions but, on the other hand, it is located in a calm uncrowded area, which is a great plus. I strongly recommend this place for everyone.”
“this stay was amazing from beginning to end mostly due to the amazing hospitality we received but also because of the location of the Riad pretty much right outside the Medina. not being inside the Medina made arrival and departure with taxi very easy and it was nice to come back to a bit more relaxed area after the hustle and the incredible narrow streets of the Medina. there are plenty of restaurants and shops close by. breakfast was tasty, the mint tea the best we have tasted so far and the beds and size of room made our stay very comfortable. i can really recommend this place to anyone seeking a genuine and authentic experience!”
“Said is a great Guy, we had the chance to sleep in his hotel which gave us a traditional feeling of our stay Here. He helped us with finding great places to see and helped us with everything we wanted. Also had Some good conversations with him!”
“Our stay at dar layali was for two nights with a family of four (2 adult children). First of all Said's hospitality was outstanding. He could not have been more welcoming or helpful. He was ever ready at the front desk to provide assistance. The rihad has a lovely spacious courtyard, and our room had 3 different sleeping areas, plenty enough for the 4 of us. It was 3 levels up, but Said was there to carry our bags to our rooms. There are more accessible rooms if you don't like climbing stairs. The rihad has been in Said's family for some time, so expect charm more than modern facilities. The breakfast is Moroccan fare, breads, crepes, jams, tea, coffee - but they will happily do something extra like an omelette for no additional cost. It was good for us. Location is near the start of the medina, so very easy access for our driver to drop us off with our bags. Said met us at the car on arrival and walked us with our bags the very short distance to his rihad. If you are staying in a rihad in the heart of the medina, be warned that it is a labrynthe of narrow paths, which I'm glad we never had to navigate with luggage. Highly recommend.”
