“Not a five star hotel. Don’t let the high score at booking.com fool you. This hotel is a basic three star experience. Only the pricing is five star. The breakfast buffet is abysmally basic and the furniture is totally and discustingly worn out. The whole thing is borderlining an outright fraud. I have never ever seen such a bad and substandard 5 star hotel. And I have been to a lot of four and five star hotels around the world.”

“A sub-par experience on so many levels. Customer service, room quality, amenities and food were disappointing. The first room we were put into was right on the busy roundabout and even with the windows and curtains shut it was unbelievably noisy. Our aircon stopped working in the middle of the night, and the staff took 40 minutes to address the issue meaning we moved at 1am. But to their credit they found us a new room - far quieter facing the inner court yard so a blessing in disguise if looking for the silver lining. The rooms themselves were tired, not properly cleaned and not well maintained. It was frustrating that they refused us a new set of bottled water or any fresh amenities in the new room, given we had moved from the old room 3 hours after moving in and not used our 'welcome' amenities, not realising that we were expected to move them ourselves. When I mentioned this front desk, the concierge did not help, saying she needed to speak to her manager about it but nothing came of it, even after several requests. So no water for us for our 3 night stay. The breakfast was terrible. Literally hams that were going off, room temperature milk and yoghurt, no fresh fruit, stale pastries, a small communal water jug that was not replenished. The waiter staff were kind at least. Several of the front desk staff (bar one) and security were utterly unhelpful and unfriendly. The only saving graces were the central location, the nice lobby and a half decent pool. Absolutely not worth the price, we paid 4-5 star hotel prices for this. I'm suspicious at the high ratings it's achieved on platforms like booking.com”
