“A local gem for Bissara and other soups! We decided to try this place based on the popularity with locals and it lived up to the expectation. It is a hole-in-the-wall place with tables on the pavement, so nothing fancy but the 100% authentic. We wanted to share one Bissara amongst the two of us but the owner wouldn't have it, he brought us a bowl of all the soups! And mint tea ofcourse. We loved the food and the kind, smiling gentleman running the show.”
“Best restaurant in Fez! Not even an exaggeration- so delicious and generous. We ordered two servings of Bisara and ended up with an entire table of eggplant, sardines, lentils, beans, bread, dates, and tea! We went back twice. My guys are the best!”
“One of my best experiences in Morocco. Delicious and authentic local food plus extremely friendly people. Highly recommended!”
“At first, we just wanted two simple bowls of chick pea soup. But the man surprised us by giving more dishes than we asked for, but they we all very tasty and nice. We had like a small dinner suddenly. He mentioned that we could determine the price, which is obviously smart of him. But it was a very nice and pleasant experience. Nice man!”
“We saw this place on Google Maps and given the good reviews, we thought we'd try some local chickpea soup. The soup itself was tasty but a lot of argan oil was added which gave it a bitter taste. This is a very local street food shop, don't expect anything fancy. You'll get friendly service but cleanliness is not up to the European or American standard. The price reflects that however; we spent roughly 1€ on a large bowl of homemade soup...”
“A real place for locals. Don’t be shy, sit there and enjoy some delicious soup. The place doesn’t offer much per se (just some fava beans soup, some chickpeas, and a delicious mint tea) but the atmosphere makes for a great Moroccan experience. If you’re a tourist the price will be a little higher (we paid 50MAD for three soups, bread, 4 teas and some chickpeas) but it’s still a bargain.”
