“What a nice place to have some French classics. Service is immaculate. Atmosphere is great. They serve steak tartare, coq au vin, beef bourguignon, etc. Cocktails are great also. Location is prime, right in the centre of Angel. I tried chicken schnitzel holstein. It was perfect. Highly recommended for sure.”
“Great location and amazing venue- it’s so relaxed and chilled inside. Friendly staff. We walked in without a booking on a Thursday and it was easy to get seated. The food is good, but the portions are small for the price. I would go back but there are also cheaper French restaurants on upper street.”
“I went there for my birthday and had a really lovely evening. A big thank you to Max for the surprise birthday dessert plate 🥹 and thanks to Andrea for serving our cocktails. Not only were the drinks great, but everybody was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The champagne I had was excellent, and the décor is beautiful all the way through, even to the restrooms (loved the hallway with all the paintings btw) Will definitely come back!!”
“Walking past on a casual Saturday afternoon, we noticed that they sold oysters so we popped in for a cheeky 6!! A beautifully decorated French restaurant that we stumbled upon; we found the service delightful and the food sensational! Oysters and butter garlic snails - what’s more to ask for? We loved it.”
“We had our wedding lunch here, in the private room. The Wolsey coordinator was incredibly helpful, kind and patient throughout the whole process. The lunch was absolutely delicious and the cake (made by their sister restaurant The Delauney) was PHENOMENAL! Couldn't be happier, thank you so much to everyone working there for making it a great day!”
“We've really enjoyed our breakfast here. First, for the food itself: not only traditional items on the menu like eggs benedicte or royal, but also basque eggs and crepe a la provencal. We definitely went for those and didn't regret! Second, for an ambient atmosphere with a French vibe. And third, a lovely friendly server who made us feel so welcome (apologies, didn't ask the name, but know she is Ukrainian)”
