“We had such a lovely stay at Jnane Tamsna. The place is beautiful and very peaceful, the gardens and pool areas are stunning and it really feels like a little oasis away from the busy parts of Marrakech. What made the stay even more special were the people working there. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and very accommodating. The food was honestly the highlight. I’ve been to Marrakech many times, but this was some of the best food I’ve had here so far. The chef’s skills really deserve a special mention. Everything was made with fresh produce every day and you could really taste the quality. Lunch and dinner were incredible, and I honestly couldn’t find myself going out for food because I didn’t want to miss the food there.”
“We were on holiday and actually staying in another property in Marrakech but had seen that there was a cookery course at Jnane Tamsna. It was easy to book via email and was a fantastic experience. Chef Simo was a really nice guy and a brilliant cook and very knowledgeable. I felt a bit sorry for him because it was just at the start of Ramadan and while he was cooking us up a feast - he had to stay fasting! A lot of the ingredients were from the expansive gardens and are grown organically. We were given a tour before the class started. The whole thing was very well organised. We had asked the hotel to book transport for us which was very efficient and reasonably priced. We had lunch outdoors in the gardens but could have had it in the beautiful interior if we had wanted to. This was a great experience and I would encourage others to do it as an option if staying in Marrakech.”
“I came here on a day pass with my friends before the airport and it was lovely. The staff are really nice and attentive. Our lunch was delicious and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and the chef even came out to greet us which was a nice touch. However it looses a star for not having a shower for guests to use. It is tricky if you are going to provide a day pass, you are unable to shower and get sun cream off after using the pool area. The pool was slightly dirty with flies and bugs in and not very clear where the other pools within the hotel are. These are minor issues however, I would recommend - it is a lovely oasis!”
“From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property understands what true luxury means. Yes, the décor is beautifully curated, the grounds are stunning (and peacefully away from the bustle of the medina), and the beds are wonderfully comfortable — but it's the people and the personalization that set this experience apart. Our cooking class with Chef was an absolute highlight. The care he brought to his craft, the genuine conversation, and the fact that he prepared gluten-free bread especially for us made for one of the most memorable mornings of our entire trip through Morocco. That same warmth carried through every breakfast interaction with the team, who always stopped to chat and made us feel genuinely looked after. As someone who works in hospitality, I have high standards — and this property exceeded them. Months later, I'm still talking about this stay with friends and colleagues. Highest possible recommendation.”
