“The hotel itself is very good and has a very convenient location. I would be happy to recommend it. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is the poor sound insulation between rooms. We were given a room with a connecting door to the neighboring room, and although it was closed, we could clearly hear everything going on next door.”
“As a Marriott Ambassador member, I am deeply disappointed with the experience we had at this hotel. I strongly identify with the Marriott brand and everything it stands for, which is why it is particularly frustrating to encounter a property that falls so far below the standards I have come to expect.||From the moment we arrived, the experience was uncomfortable. The hotel’s systems were down, and the staff was unable to provide meaningful assistance or clear information. We were asked to leave and return later to give them time to resolve the situation before our rooms could be assigned.||When we finally received our rooms, one of them had a significant amount of water pooled on the floor, with water actively dripping from the ceiling. Whether it was caused by the air conditioning system or another maintenance issue, it was obvious that there was a leak. If the room was being prepared for incoming guests, this should have been identified and addressed before it was assigned.||Unfortunately, the other negative reviews we had read—and the reason we chose to switch hotels during the first part of our trip—proved to be accurate. Upon entering the guest restroom in the lobby, we encountered a large cockroach. In addition, the shower soap dispenser in our room was completely empty.||To make matters worse, it was impossible to reach the front desk by phone. None of the room phones appeared to be working, so every request required physically going downstairs to speak with someone at reception. Throughout our stay, there was a complete lack of customer service and responsiveness.||This experience was extremely disappointing, especially because it does not reflect the standards, quality, and service that Marriott typically represents. We rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case we feel compelled to share our experience. Unfortunately, this hotel significantly detracts from the reputation of the Marriott brand, and we hope management takes immediate action to address these issues for future guests.”
“I am a Platinum Elite Member, and I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Le Méridien N’Fis. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. I went on a long-awaited holiday to relax, only to arrive at a hotel that was undergoing repair and renovation works. Temporary construction walls had been erected around the buildings and near the pool area while maintenance work was taking place. The pool area, which should have been a peaceful place to relax, was filled with the sound of drilling and construction equipment. I paid a premium price for what was supposed to be a premium experience, but instead my holiday was ruined. My stay took place in June 2025. I would also like to point out that at no point during the booking process was I informed that renovation works would be taking place during my stay or that they could significantly affect my experience. As a Platinum Elite Member and a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member for many years, I feel deceived by Le Méridien. My holiday was ruined, and no one has accepted responsibility for it. I will continue posting this review on every platform until I receive appropriate compensation for being misled, for not being informed about the renovation works, and for the holiday that was ruined as a result. If I had wanted to listen to constant drilling and construction noise, I would have stayed in a cheap hotel in the heart of the Medina-not at a well-known premium hotel charging premium prices. SHAME ON YOU LE MERIDIEN!”
“I spent 5 nights at Méridien N fis with my wife and Son. Our first experience in Morocco and We had a blast. From the start, upon arrival Sala greeted us politely at the door , took our bags and brought us to the front desk. Mohammed at the front desk was great, he upgraded us to a beautiful suite as we were Titanium guests, he was so polite and told us about Morocco and about things we should do. The suite was beautiful, we had a few minor issues that needed to be fixed but was done all in less that 20mins. The highlight of this stay was definitely the Lounge!! The Lounge staff was always smiling and friendly and we had so much fun watching the World Cup matches there, they are a great team. Breakfast was awesome and the pool was fantastic! Very close to the airport and the Medina, plus there’s lots of restaurants, banks etc nearby! I highly recommend Le Méridien N fis and I look forward to returning again soon!!”
“we ordered three coffees by the pool, but they were never brought to us. The staff were chatting behind the bar and using their phones instead of serving guests. We had to remind them twice and eventually had to walk up to the bar ourselves to ask them to prepare our coffee. The prices are exorbitant, and unfortunately, the food quality is also very poor. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. To make matters worse, when we informed the waiter that we no longer wanted the coffee because we had to leave for a corporate event and requested a refund, he ignored us and suddenly started preparing the coffee instead. Based on this experience, we will not be returning anymore.”
“This place should not qualify as a Marriott. It was a complete mess. It appears to be serving high volumes of guests but the staff, infrastructure of the hotel are not equipped to handle it. Lots of people milling around in the lobby like a train station when I arrived, constant smell of smoke (literally people smoking in the lobby and outside, with second hand smoke coming in). Check in seemed to take forever. Most of the staff were either unprofessional or rude. When someone came to assist with the luggage they just held out their palms to ask me incredulously “where’s your luggage!”. The building my room was housed in was a mess. Trash strewn in common areas, lots of room service food that was just left in the hallways and never collected even after an entire day. The entire hotel felt like a construction site. When I asked about the gym they said there was some equipment by the pool (they literally put a few items outdoors, and expected people to workout in 50F degree weather). The restaurant I ate at only served a fraction of the menu. I saw another guest at breakfast ask for water, and the staff member told him there was none”
