“We stayed the 1 night and it was good, but I can see where some reviews state repairs need done. Not all lights worked in our room but it was mostly really good. The buffet for breakfast was okay and dinner had more options which was nice, but they were quite busy with visitors that food ran out quicky. It was nice though.|The camel ride is a precious memory, 200 dirhams per person which I think was money well spent. I was a bit annoyed at the price of scarfs from reception 100 dirhams when we saw the same ones at Ait Ben Haddou 3 for 90 dirhams! The pool was very cold but very clean and the area around it was well set out. We enjoyed our stay. Wifi was patchy and you had to be near reception. Parking was free. The dunes are on your doorstep, which is why we booked to stay here and it was totally worth it. Just beautiful.”
“Best hotel in the whole area. Amazingly friendly staff, very welcoming. The view is very good. The food is also very good, especially the dinner. And there's also a bird ringing station here during spring”
“A wonderful two night stay at this beautiful and friendly hotel in Merzouga. Beautiful surroundings and decor, plus the room was enormous! The meals were delicious, and the staff extremely friendly and attentive. The most amazing bit, which we hadn’t expected, was that we had stunning uninterrupted views of the Erg Chebbi dunes from our room. As we arrived at sunset, it was quite magical. We were here for a birding trip, and saw some incredible desert species too.”
“Oh, what this place must have been once! In its glory days, this must have been an absolutely beautiful luxury hotel. Alas, these days have long gone. Today the Yasmina is a glamorous shell filled with broken furniture, missing fittings and a lot of bare wires. It almost feels like it has been scavenged by a swarm of giant alien locusts (now there’s an idea for C-listed “Mummy” sequel!)|My husband and I were staying for two nights. Our plan was to chill amidst the stunning desert scenery, do a sunset camel ride, enjoy the stars and get a bit of a breather while on a very busy Morocco itinerary (we had done most of the other desert experiences – camping, dune bashing etc in other locations before). |We got a stunning suite with an upstairs terrace with uninterrupted views of the dunes. The room was huge with two king-size beds and a beautifully tiled bathroom/shower room area. Unfortunately some of the tiles were falling off, bare wires were sticking out of walls where there probably once were beautiful lamps; there was no safe, no wardrobe or any hanging space for clothes other than a coat-stand, no kettle, no fridge, no hairdryer, no wifi and only one glass (for a 4-bed room). The table on the terrace only had two legs and was leaning against the wall. |The breakfast and dinner buffets were just about ok, albeit lacking in variety, but operated on a “you snooze, you lose” basis. When we were there, the hotel accommodated sizeable groups of Russian, Italian, Spanish and Asian travellers and Darwinian principles were in operation. The pool area looked lovely in principle but the water was murky (and refreshing to put it mildly) and there was a definite pesky fly problem (not the hotel’s fault). The sunset camel ride was sublime and not to be missed.|The two staff members at reception were excellent, friendly and competent. How frustrating it must be for them to try and hold this place together while it is crumbling around their ears. Especially as in the middle of all this decay, the owner is building himself a brand-new villa… Maybe that’s where all the missing tiles, lamps and wardrobes have ended up?!? What a shame.”
“Yasmina is a very, very good hotel! I stayed here on the 8th of April 2026, unfortunately for only one night.... I could have stayed here for a whole week! Beautiful furnished rooms and bathrooms, it was really amazing! The staff is very helpful and the location of this hotel is stunning with a view on the Sahara desert. I would highly recommend this hotel. Once more, it was said it was a stay for only one night!”
“No internet except in lobby, then sporadic. Rooms basic, but comfortable bed. AC OK, TV with nilesst. Breakfast a laugh. Breads and boiled eggs. Bad coffee. Watered down orange juice. No alcohol at bar.”
