“Sofia Canteen is a wonderful Mexican restaurant designed in the style of a hacienda, offering a truly charming setting. The dim lighting, candles, fountain, and flowers create the perfect atmosphere for a lovely spring evening—it felt absolutely magical. The menu features a wide range of Mexican dishes, including quesadillas, burritos, tacos, enchiladas, and more. We found the tacos to be very tasty, and the nachos with guacamole were simply divine. The portions are generous and full of flavor, making the experience even more enjoyable. The service was excellent as well—the waitress was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The place is also opened very late so it's convenient if you have a plane or train in the night. I highly recommend this place for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting.”
“Great authentic South American cuisine, some excellent cocktails and a breathtaking interior! Loved it and deffinitely will com back again. Finally I've tasted the legendary mole sauce and I'm hungry for more!
“Incredible location. Tacos were super delicious and so was the cocktail I had. Really enjoyed the fountain and other decorations. Will visit again for sure.”
“Lovely program - the dancers are so welcoming and open hearted! Thats the only thing we loved. The tacos came cold, the burrito is far away from the original, there was so much cheese and the sauce was tasteless. The most disappointing thing was the nachos - we expected original nachos but it was just doritos from a packet and some avocado on top - very very disappointing for a Mexican restaurant. We got pain in our stomach after eating the food there. Would not recommend eating there.”
“What a great place! Went there randomly because the restaurant we initially wanted to visit closed earlier for no reason whatsoever. The vibe was so good. So many people enjoying themselves, having fun together. Actually the atmosphere was so relaxing that i noticed many strangers started talking to each other and friendships were made. There is a more lively and loud "party" zone with a dancefloor and banging music and a more quiet and chill zone for convos and eating. The music was actually very positive and made you really wanna dance, they played some timeless hits. The service was nice. The food suggestions all looked great, the portions were big and yummy and fresh. Also i had the best cocktail ever. The desserts are wow as well. However, my stomach hurt a lot after eating there. I suspect it might be because in the menu it said there is no gluten in the vegetarian burrito which i had. I double checked with the waiter if it really has no gluten cuz...you know...there's usually wheat in the tortilla in which it's wrapped. He confirmed there's no gluten but the tortilla looked exactly the same as the one in which the other burritos came - and these had gluten tagged as an allergen. So yeah, that spoiled the impression a bit.”
“Came here as a large group after reading the good review on here. It was relatively quiet but was a Sunday night, had around 4-7 tables in the whole we were in there! It all started to go bad when a waiter (I think eh was the manger) was rather rude to one of our party. The restaurants was very hot and she was fanning herself with the menu (very gently), he told her he wanted the menu back because she was doing that. That left a sour taste. After, we told him he was rude, he stopped serving us but the lovely young waiter took over and was very nice. We ordered but was let down that you couldn’t ordered extras like a bowl to chips or guac. Instead we were told only menu items. How ever the margaritas were lovely. The food was delicious/fresh/ tender but it was cold and all came out at different point over a 20 minute period which was a shame. Wouldn’t come back but at least food was good!”
