“Really cool atmosphere. I absolutely loved the interior design and the unique Asian decor. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was tasty, good quality and quantity for the pricing, too. I highly recommend their beef tartare and the Korean BBQ chicken. In terms of the desserts, the matcha tiramisu is amazing!”
“Mizu Korean Restaurant in Sofia delivers an excellent dining experience on every level. The food is incredibly delicious —rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, and paired with beautiful presentation that shows real attention to detail. Every dish feels carefully crafted and authentic. The service is truly exceptional, especially compared to many places nowadays. The staff is professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel taken care of throughout the entire visit. Another big plus is the price-to-quality ratio—the prices are very reasonable considering the high level of food and service. We visited using a voucher from macaroon.bg for a 6-course tasting menu for two (51 EUR), and it was more than enough food—generous portions and absolutely delicious from start to finish. Overall, Mizu offers top-quality cuisine, excellent service, and great value. 👉 Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined and memorable dining experience in Sofia!
“What a fabulous restaurant! How did we not find it before? Our friends told us how great it is & we tried it. We were served by Rali, she explained everything so well to us. We had the hot & sour Chinese soup & the spicy cucumber salad to start, both full of flavour. After that we had the Kimchi Madu dumpling, the spicy gang-yang chicken & the teokk bokki a spicy shrimp dish. We love chilli & spice & it was all great! We loved each dish. We will definitely go back!”
“The restaurant offers a range of Asian dishes such as Pad Thai and Sushi, not just Korean food. They also have a nice range of cocktails and good wine list. The food was served quite quickly and the atmosphere inside was also really nice. The food itself was lacking a little bit. The presentation was great and it's the right amount of dishes. That being said, the beef dishes needed more seasoning and was dry. Dumplings were great though!”
“The food here was very good and the service was impeccable. I particularly enjoyed the tempura shrimp served with tteokbokki, as well as the fried chicken, which was full of flavor and well prepared. The only downside is that the portions felt a bit small compared to what you might expect from a Korean barbecue, especially considering the prices. That being said, the quality of the dishes was definitely there, and I would still recommend this restaurant.”
“The place looks great—nice modern design and the ambiance is definitely a vibe. It feels a bit fancy but still comfortable. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. We started with the crispy duck salad which was actually very nice. It was definitely more batter than duck and more duck than salad, but honestly, it was delicious so I wasn’t complaining. For the mains, the pork belly ramen was just "okay" for me. It wasn't hot enough (ramen needs to be steaming!) and the broth lacked that deep flavor you look for. Plenty of meat though, and the pork was seasoned way better than the actual soup. My friends got the Korean BBQ chicken which was super flavorful, just keep in mind it’s literally just a few pieces of chicken with no sides. Cocktails were a bit bland and the Matcha Yuzu Tiramisu was the biggest letdown—pretty dry and didn't have much flavor. That said, the service was spot on. Our waitress was great—very fresh, joked around with us, and nailed every request we had. You’re looking at about €40-50 per person for a full 3-course run, which feels fair for the setting. I’d go back, but I’d probably skip the ramen and the dessert next time.”
