“Very good food and quick service, we came at lunch time during the week. Staff are very nice, prices are fair. Lovely couscous and mergez!”
“I had an amazing lunch at El Mida! The staff are super friendly and speak great French. The dish of the day was called Kabkabou (I think fish in a sauce of tomatoes, harissa, olives, and lemon) and was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tried. The soup was fantastic as well (I think made with lamb broth) as were the salads (I loved the carrots). They even brought mint tea and a vanilla and rose water pudding for dessert. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tunis. The food cost 28 TND and the huge bottle of water cost 3.5.”
“Beautiful restaurant, one the best spots to eat real Tunisian food actually, really loved the food and the service. Really authentic place to visit”
“Without a doubt the best food I had in Tunis. Had the grilled fish and chicken skewers. Came with soup, bread, dessert, tea etc. Incredible service, and also gave me a soup top up! Highly recommend.”
“Really impressed with both the food and the hospitality. They helped me order. Then brought me extra salad. Then once I’d finished my main, they offered to bring me more for free! Amazing. The food has a real homemade authentic feels and is full of flavour. They bring you a free soup, bread and side salad to start. It’s a very popular place but everything is served quickly. It’s only open till 4pm! It’s upstairs! Cash only! I’ll definitely be back to try more. Thanks!”
“How good is this place? Let me answer this way.. we stayed nearby here for 5 days and we ate at this restaurant every day for lunch. That’s how much we enjoyed this restaurant. They have daily specials every day (except Monday when they’re closed). Food was always super fresh and delicious. Prices were very reasonable. The staff and owner were so friendly we felt like family! Places and people like this make our trip to Tunisia simply amazing!”
